The Clean Routine Part One
Towels – Bed Linens – Rugs
Have you ever noticed how some people’s homes seem to have everything in order? You can achieve this with the help of a cleaning service. In this three-part guide, you will find three simple routines that you can have your cleaning team take care of. All you have to do is set the guidelines, and watch your house find its way back to cleanliness. Before we begin, here is a pro tip: cycle through your washables once a week for a cleaner home. Now, let’s get started on the reasons why hiring a cleaning company can help you keep your home sparkling clean.

Even though most towels are used for the purpose of drying clean items, they need to be washed routinely due to the fact that bacteria can grow. From your bathroom to your kitchen, have your cleaning team pull all of the dirty towels into the washing machine. Have the wash and dry cycle set to high heat, and use laundry detergent for sensitive skin if needed. Have a set location of clean towels that can be used to replace the dirty towels. Once the dirty towels have been washed and dried, fold them so they can be used for the next week’s cycle.
Show your dedicated cleaning service to all of the bedrooms in your home that need linens changed. Make sure to pull all pillowcases, comforters, bedsheets, and blankets from each of the rooms. Guest bedroom linens can be washed based upon use. We recommend washing guest bedroom linens before and after your guest arrives and leaves. Have your cleaning team wash all pillowcases and bed sheets first, then blankets and comforters. This makes it easier to ‘make the bed’ as you go. Make sure all bed linens are washed on hot, and dried on hot. This helps prevent any bacteria from lingering on your items. Hang dry any partially dried bulky comforters if needed.
Throughout your entire household, have your cleaning service pull all your rugs. From the entryway, to kitchens, bedrooms, hallways, and bathrooms, pick up every rug that can be washed. Follow the instructions on rugs that may need to be washed on delicate, or might need to be hang dried. Make sure your cleaners understand what each rug might need. Floor mats can be wiped with Clorox bleach, and outside door mats can be swept.
If there are any other items around your home that may need to be washed, like a throw blanket in the living room, toss them in along with your other items on a (recommended) weekly basis. Have your cleaning team make this part of their routine when you have your home cleaned for a home that stays clean and is orderly.
